Barnsley 0:1 RFC

We are on an upwards section of the roller coaster – with hopes raised and good momentum.

After losing to Man City it would have been doubly disappointing if our league performances had buckled as well. But thankfully this was not to be the case as we won today whilst others around us failed to get maximum points, so we are now three points off a play off place with a game in hand, and both teams around us have worse goal difference than us. So we have the right ingredients at the right time of the season.

Team  Played Actual Points Actual Position Max points over 38 games Potential position on 38 games
QPR 38 76 1 76 1
Norwich 38 67 2 67 2
Swansea 38 66 3 66 3
Cardiff 38 63 4 63 4
Leeds 38 61 5 61 5
Reading 37 57 7 60 6
Nott’m Forest 38 60 6 60 7
Burnley 37 57 8 60 8
Watford 38 56 9 56 9
Hull 38 56 10 56 10
Leicester 38 55 11 55 11
Millwall 38 54 12 54 12
Portsmouth 38 54 13 54 13

We would be sixth based on goal difference!

I was only able to listen to the last few minutes of the game but based on the stats for the match the Royals deserved to win.

Manset came on for Church after 66 minutes and scored five minutes later. I wonder how Church feels about that?

Anyway small issue of France v Wales to watch so bye for now.
